Founded in 2009, Epimorphics are at forefront of developing standards, tools and applications, working with organisations to organise and publish data.

    Mike specialises in intellectual property rights in the digital and data space. He advises globally on how organisations can better manage and unlock value from their digital and data assets.

    Miranda helps organisations realise the value of sharing data. She works with teams to develop sustainable data strategies and business models that treat data as a core asset.

    Alex Coley

    Alex sets direction and leads strategy at Epimorphics. With a background in open data leadership in Government (Defra and the UKGovLD), he brings deep expertise in bridging policy, technology, and data standards.

    Martin Merry

    Martin co-founded Epimorphics after a leadership career in tech, including HP. With a background in mathematical logic, he now chairs our board and supports long-term vision.

    Dave shapes our technical strategy and drives innovation across our software. A key contributor to International and UK data standards, he’s a recognised expert in Linked Data and semantic technologies.

    Beth supports our finance operations while developing her skills in user research. With experience across public and private sectors, she brings a keen eye for detail and a growing interest in understanding user needs in data services.

    Kal supports our technical direction and leads architecture and standards work on key projects. With a background in knowledge management and semantic technologies, he’s a regular speaker, tutor, and long-standing contributor to open source projects including dotNetRDF.

    Stuart Williams

    Stuart contributes deep expertise in data modelling and architecture. A former chair of the W3C Technical Architecture Group, he advises on standards and best practice in linked and open data.

    Alex specialises in data architecture, modelling and standards. He brings extensive experience from complex public and private sector data projects, with a focus on Linked Data, ontologies and integration.

    Lizzie supports service design through user-centred research and analysis. She brings a strong background in UX and business analysis, with a focus on open and linked data projects.

    Tom is a member of our leadership team and a primary point of contact for clients. He oversees project delivery across the company, drawing on extensive experience leading public sector data, GIS, and open data initiatives to ensure successful outcomes.

    Andrew is a developer turned Unix system admin, having previously worked on high availability systems for GSM and satellite messaging platforms and more recently on big data platforms for UKHO. His interests lie system automation, monitoring and site reliability engineering.

    Simon Oakes

    Simon is a senior software engineer working across key back-end systems and integrations. With a background in pure maths, he has experience in clinical and financial software delivery.

    Paul explores the intersection of user needs and linked data. He’s also a researcher at the University of Bristol and brings a human-centred perspective to semantic web design.

    Joseph builds engaging front-end experiences. With a background in data journalism, he’s passionate about storytelling, accessibility, and visualising complex data on the web.

    Mihajlo works on our core data platform team. A Computer Science graduate and is a certified AWS Solution Architect Professional, he focuses on scalable, cloud-based data services.

    Bogdan develops user-facing applications around linked data. A Computer Science graduate from Bristol, he brings curiosity and a drive to explore emerging technologies
