Bathing Waters
Natural Resource Wales (NRW) and the Environment Agency (EA) have a key roles ensure that bathing waters have good water quality in Wales and England respectively. Bathing Waters are designated beaches (or inland swimming spots) assessed by the EA and NRW in line with the relevant legislation and regulations. Water samples are taken at designated points weekly, during the bathing water season. In order to make the results of the Bathing Water Quality sampling available to the many individuals and organisations who make use of it, starting in 2010, we worked with EA and later NRW to design and build these services. We currently also run the service for NRW.

Catchment Data API
We worked with the Environment Agency to initially design the underlying data model for this service that has evolved over a number of years

UK Tide Gauges
We previously worked with the Environment Agency to design and build a service that published data from the UK National Tide Gauge Network, owned and operated by the Environment Agency, on behalf of the UK Coastal Flood Forecasting service. It recorded tidal elevations at 44 locations around the UK coast.

Rainfall Data
We previously worked with the Environment Agency to design and build a service that published data from 1000 real time rain gauges which are connected by telemetry. Browse data from the network of tipping-gauge rainfall sensors, available as open linked-data via the Rainfall API.
-
Public Registers

Historic Water Quality (WIMS) archive
We previously worked with the Environment Agency to design and build a service that published data from the Environment Agency’s National Water Quality Data Archive (WIMS)
-
Flood Widget
We previously worked with the Environment Agency to design and build a service that helped users access flood warning data via a simple configurable widget. This increased the reach of the data for the Environment Agency and supported greater investment into similar services.
-
